1. I'm grateful for my DH. Though he's not a writer or even a real reader (I joke that of the two books he reads annually, one is usually a manuscript of mine), he's got a sharp eye for what works and his help has been invaluable.
2. I'm grateful for the three little people who call me "Mom."
3. I'm grateful for heat and electricity. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who've been without both recently.
4. I'm grateful my favorite TV show Chuck is on again and that my famine from reading will soon be quenched by the pile of books on my bedside table.
5. I'm grateful my sister-in-law sees to it that we have some sort of chocolate dessert at the family Thanksgiving.
6. I'm grateful some radio stations have chosen NOT to start playing Christmas music yet.
7. Lastly, I'm grateful for friends who get where I'm coming from.
Speaking of friends, a good friend of mine Ali Cross is launching the release of her YA novel BECOME this Friday! Check out her blog for all sorts of cool things associated with the launch.
What are you feeling grateful for today? What good things are happening in your life? Are you a fan of Christmas music before December 1st?

Congrats! Great things to be thankful for! Happy Wednesday!
Oh, Stacy, I was pleasantly surprised to see my name at the end of this post. Thank you!
And yes, November is such a wonderful month to realize how incredibly burdened by blessings we are...Thanks for sharing :)
Stacy, your list is so sweet. But I'm so glad to know that you're a Chuck fan too! I love him.
I love how you worded that...the three people who call you mom!
We had an 8 day stint w/out power. So glad to have it back.
And I'm with you on the no Christmas music yet.
~ Wendy
LOL! Stacie, you are awesome! I love this month, because we are reminded of all the blessings we have. I especially love #6, because it is TOO early for Christmas music! lol
Jessica - After a rather sleepless night with a sick kiddo, I'm glad I made this list. Need the reminder this morning. :)
Kim - You're welcome! I love what you said about "burdened with blessings." Great thought.
Erin - Woohoo - another Chuck fan! Love that show.
Wendy - So glad to hear your power is back on!
Abby - I often wonder who these radio stations poll about playing Christmas music early. Clearly you and I weren't consulted. :)
Congrats on your award!
I am thankful my family and friends...this includes my online buds.
I work in a place where the Satellite Christmas music is pumped in on the day after Thanksgiving...but it's more like "holiday" music.
Thanks for the award Stacy :) I always forget to be thankful for heat and electricity...how could I forget that?
And I LOVE the pic at the top :)
Loree - I'm okay with the holiday music the day after Thanksgiving but not with November 1st. :)
Angela - You're welcome! I stumbled onto that picture and thought it was perfect.
I have a whole post about Chuck tomorrow. LOL. And I used to work in retail, so that is a HUGE no on the Christmas music before Dec. 1st. I want it to be special.
Congrats on the award. Oh, and I read She Walks in Beauty. It's a really nice book. I loved Harry. All the books I've been reading have such great guys. Thanks!
Jenny - Ooo - I'll have to check out the Chuck post! So glad you liked She Walks in Beauty. Harry is a sweetheart, isn't he? :)
So thankful for many things today--that my husband has a job finally, that God sent us here to Texas instead of Montana or someplace coooold, that my home in Fl is under contract to sell . . .
I'm thankful for no agenda today. That's rare around my house. :) And I'm with you on the Christmas music thing. I don't judge people who like it sooner, but it's just hard for me to switch my mindset this early. :)
Terri - All wonderful things to be thankful for! So glad to hear things are going well.
Sarah - That's a lovely blessing - no agenda. Those days can be the best.
I love hearing what other people are thankful for. It reminds me to be thankful too!
I'm thankful for a husband who doesn't look at me weird when I freak out about things that really don't need to be freaked-out about. :)
Shallee - Thank goodness for laid-back husbands! :) I would be a basketcase without him to remind me not to stress.
Those are awesome tgings to be grateful for. Every day, no matter how frustrated or upset I may get, I'm so grateful for my beautiful children. They just make my life better.
And I'm grateful to have my own office now. There's so much to be grateful for when we really think about it. And remembering those without, is a good way to feel how truly blessed we are.
BTW my hubby is not a big reader either, but he's always supportive. :)
I love thankful posts like these. It makes me think about everything I'm thankful for as well. Lately I'm just thankful for my cute little family. I don't know where I'd be without them. :)
Pk Hrezo - Love your list and that you have a non-reader, supportive husband too. :)
Chantele - So true - I don't know where I'd be without my family either.
Elizabeth - Welcome! Thanks for stopping by.
Those a GREAT things to be thankgul for!
Would u believe there is a radio station around here that started playing Christmas music 24/7 starting Oct. 15!!!!! Is that crazy or what?
I don't mind the day after Thanksgiving but no earlier that that. :-)
Jennifer - That's really early for Christmas music! I love Christmastime, but I'm not ready to get into the swing of things until after Thanksgiving. :)
Love your seven things! Especially because they were all grateful things!
I'm fine with Christmas music before December 1st. I'm even more fine if it waits until the week of Thanksgiving, though. :)
I'm grateful for my family and my ability to preserver during difficult times. I don't know how you do it with 3 kids. Jeez, I have two & my head's spinning. :P
Peggy - I told one of my sons today that we could decorate for Christmas, but not until after Thanksgiving.
Mina - I love the preserving through difficult times! I'm not usually grateful for hard things in the middle, but afterward, I realize what I've learned through the experience and I'm thankful for that. And how to do it with three kids? One day at a time. :)
